Jake's Turning 4!!!

I wanted to post this Jake's birthday is coming up!!! he'll be 4 on Wednesday the 3rd of September!!! So I thought I'd put up some pictures of him from the past year! He is SO excited, he Loves this time of year like I do, his birthday, followed by Halloween, fall and Christmas!! we So love it he Loves all of the decorations! he got his own tree to decorate last year and I still can't get over HOW WELL he did! I wanted a "grown up" tree but I love all the family ornaments too so I set my son up and let him have at it! I didn't help a bit! he's truly mine!! How honored and lucky I am to be his mother!!

Never want to be Sick AGAIN!!!

OK so it's been a while since we posted last and that's for a few reasons, first I have NO idea how to "blog" Jesse set this up and he forgot what account he put it under, so while sitting here watching My friends Tigger and Pooh with Jake i decided to think, think, think.. Hehe if you know what i mean and turned myself into a super sleuth and figured it out! and 2ND of all we have had NOTHING but Bad luck.. If you have time I'll fill you in! First we went to go on our annual free trip to San Diego (as I am getting older I'm contemplating the greatness of this) one word... Camping! It is in a RV with my grandmother in law.. blow up mattress's and lound drunken parties, and showering in public restrooms, catching my drift? but it's TOTALLY FREE and you can't beat that, when you pack a lunch and go down to the beach for the day and realize your out of the devil's butt crack we live in it; makes it ALL worth it! after the Advil kicks in for the back ache you have.. So Now that we had a "little vacation" we came home picked up a gallon of milk and then Jesse and I proceeded to have anything and Everything come out of us at both ends! it wouldn't stop!! luckily Jake didn't get it but he had to be passed around and stay over at other's people's houses since we were in and out of the hospital! Jesse got the worst migraine and they kept him in the hospital for over a week! so between running to the bathroom, trying to take care of Jake ( he's not over having to stay away from us!!) and taking Jake to see his Daddio i did get to read the Wonderful Breaking Dawn! I'm so sad it's over, at least from Bella's perspective! The whole time i was reading the book all i could think about was If i were a vampire i would NEVER be sick again!!! NEVER!! how i long for that till this day.. our storm continues.... I've had really bad neck problems and i finally tried surgery on Friday so i am recouping from that. i was sooo nervous everything was coming out everywhere AGAIN!! it didn't help that my WONDERFUl grandma who lives in UT was having Major heart surgery!!! so i was a nervous wreck! i couldn't call her, every time i thought about it I'd throw up or have some other unpleasant thing happen!! so the day of both our surgeries I turned to Jes and had a panic attack!! what if i never got to talk to her again if she died! she had a heart attack and lung cancer earlier last year and almost died!! but now it was to late! luckily Jesse and his dad gave me a blessing and she made it through and is home right now! WHEW!! so I am sore where they poked my head, neck and shoulders. i am supposed to take it easy and it should (no guarantees) start to feel better, maybe not gone but anywhere from some relief to alot and it typically lasts about 3 months. oh and 1 more thing to add to my wonderful weekend Aunt flo paid me a visit! Thanks alot!! so once again if i could become a vampire and NEVER have pain or anything disgusting coming out of me again I would be in Heaven! And that's Exactly where my problems will stop, just keep enduring till the end right?! I told my story so no one thinks i've died, didn't want to be friends, or what many think dah dah da... gasp became inactive!! AGH the horror. sleep soundly my friends we will see you at church VERY soon!

We are Back!

Hey all, its us again and we are back! We have decided to try this all again and keep as much of you all posted as we can.

Here are just a few notes that will get us going and I think that the rest of what is going on with us will just come with time.

The wonderful boy in our life is just doing better than ever! He is very proud to announce that he is fully potty trained (besides nightime Kristene wanted me to add:))and I attribute this success to the hard work of Jake, but also to the Mother's intuition that his mom always exhibits. I swear, that whole "Mothers knows best" thing has proven to be incredibly true! Mom knows best for that kid and she knew that the time was just right to start with the training and he caught on very fast! But that is nothing really new, Kristene has always had this intuition for that boy that just shows how in tune she is to the spirit, the family and her calling as a mother!

Anyway, Jake is about to turn 4 in September and I am sure that we will be doing something fun and we will make sure that those who want to be involved will be included. Jake Just finished swim Lessons and he Learned SO much he truly did a complete turn around! he used to have to have every floatation device known to man so that water would not hit his face or his ears ( the whole tubes thing) but now he's making cannon balls like the best of them; we have community pools and I swear Kristene takes him everyday maybe twice a day they are so tan!

Now as far as Kristene is doing, it has been sort of a rocky road for her, with her health problems going up and down, but I have to say that she is such a strong and wonderful fighter. She never gives up, and I look to her for inspiration often. She is doing good as of lately though and she spends her time very busy with activities with Jake, and enriching his life with great and fun activities. She still finds time to do hair for a few members of the neighborhood and also for family members that need her to help.Kristene is serving on the Enrichment committee and she is the Neighborhood Action group Leader for our section of the Neighborhood; where she throws such activities like an Easter egg hunt, Halloween party and Christmas Caroling to name a few things to help interact our ward neighbors with the our other neighbors. Seeing how how Ward boundaries is less then a mile it's great that she does that! She and I were both just called to serve in the Nursery in the Ward, and we are excited to serve wherever we can.

Finally, for me life has just been as rocky as my wonderful wife. I had been working for a large Japanese based manufacturing firm, but this last Friday was let go from my position as a Systems Administrator. It was a hard ordeal because it was a position that I was really enjoying, and to make things worse, there was not a good reason for the layoff other than financial times are tough. The firm has had nothing but great things to say about me and my work, and I have been given letters of recommendations from the managers from each department. So to lose a job that I was doing well at and no one wanted the separation to happen, makes it even more difficult. So anyway, I am back out on the prowl looking, and if anyone knows of some jobs out there that would suit an IT guru with more than 6 years of professional experience, we would appreciate the heads up.

The outlook for jobs does though bring some great opportunities. I have just had an interview with a CPA firm this last week and have a follow-up interview this Monday to meet the next line of managers. So please keep us in your prayers there, and we will keep you all posted here as the news comes up!
